Whats the best light bulbs to use for photography?

i have a halogen lamp/ lantern whatever you want to call it for photography but it gives an orange glow out so i figure i need new lights for these what would be the best type /color

You have two choices, you can buy Tungsten lamps that have been colour corrected to give white light, or if you're using a digital camera you can alter the white balance or even colour correct it on the computer afterwards.
