rosette door knob -> do part-rosettes both exist? If so, where can I buy?

I do not know if I have only dreamed see-piece brass rosettes two that go around / behind the door handles. All carpenters, contractors or persons at hand whether there is such a thing? It looks like a rosette standard would go beyond / around the door handle, but it is in two pieces so that you can install it on a door without having to remove the button. Is there such a thing or am I dreaming? If they exist, where can I get one. I checked the hardware, the old stores and online. Thank you!

Try your local hardware recycling places. They get the parts out of old buildings that would be discarded.
