That is a poisons gas that can cause serious health problems. So use caution around it and just like any tarnish on brass you just have to use elbow grease and a brass cleaner like Brasso to rmove it. Takes alot of time. Now not knowing how corrosive it is to brass you may not be able to save it but I doubt.
