Wall Sconce

Where to buy an external wall with an outlet built in?

had an outside light, the lantern-type Classic on my porch which had an outlet on the side of the back plate and was used to connect our decorations. My husband broke it, and now we can not not plug our Christmas decorations in any way if we spend money to cut a large hole in our brick and ruining our front room wall. Do they still make these kinds of arrangements? Or does anyone have one they would like to sell or dispose? We do not want to be in this house with an extension cord coming out of our windows! PLEASE! I received two replies - but if anyone can help me locate a device, I would be grateful. Believe me, I tried every store home improvement in Chicago. They all say they "do not make 'em anymore!" Someone must to accommodate all the old houses!

So with that light that you would have an extension cord hanging from it? Is that any better than an entry through a window? Why not get creative and add a light output that you like? It would be really simple to do. It should not be necessary the ruin of the wall in your living room to add an outlet to the outside. Who told you it would be necessary is a hack. You should be able cut a hole in the brick above or below the existing fixture and fish on a line to mount the existing as long as you keep the same bay. Even if you do not keep it in the same bay all wiring can be done from under the house if you have a basement or empty health or in the attic. Absolutely no need to touch the wall inside, I do this kind of thing all the time.
