Light Sconces

Track lighting, pot lighting, sconces on wall, or fluorescent ?
Personally out of the 4 I would prefer sconces or pot lighting with a desk lamp. I shy away from fluorescent lighting because it would make me feel like I was actually at work and track lighting can be funny. I never like overhead lighting.
