Does anyone else straighten their hair with a large barrel curling iron, or am I just wierd?

So I have a two inch barrel curling iron (it's like the biggest size it comes in lol) and I like to straighten my hair with it, because it's too big to get actual curls. I just run it through my hair (after spraying it with heat protectant) and straightens out my naturally wavy/curly hair and gives the tips a very slight curl. I was wondering, does anyone else do this? Or am I just totally wierd, lol? Thanks!
