What should I do about a dove in my hanging plant?

I have a hanging plant on my balcony. A dove has taken up residence in the plant. Scared me to peices when I looked out the window and saw a little head and a pair of eyes peering at me from the center of the plant.
I really don't mind except I will need to water the plant at some point. I don't have the time to sit around monitoring when the dove will be there. Frankly, I'm a little afraid of it. Do you think she is nesting?
What can I do?

Please wait for a month or so.
When the dove nesting period will over then U can put some Broken Bottle glass in the soil of the hanging Pot. or barbwire it.
You won't face any nesting problem in future.
And do not get scared doves are the most harmless. The poor Living thing must be hell of scared from you.
