Does the new style ipod touch metal back scratch really bad like the old style ipod touch?

Well the first ipod touch I got which was the old style ipod touch metal back scratched horrible in the first week. I couple months ago I bought the new style iPod touch and don't want the back to scratch so I got a case. I really don't like the case but it is protecting the ipod from getting scratched. I was wondering if the new Style scratched as bad is the old style. Could I take off the case with out it scratching?

Yes it scratches badly. Mine has actually scratched just from taking off the case I had on it! So my itouch is pretty much in it's case 24/7. I have a thin hard plastic/rubber one on mine so it's not too big and bulky, it protects it well and I can grip it easier.
