Shell Leaf

I live in SW Florida and have theese things in my house and outside on the walls. It looks like a sunflower seed with a tiny red worm inside. I think the worm dies and leaves its shell behind. I have no clue what they are and they are in every room.
I live in South Florida also and I think what you have is called a "Case-Bearing Moth larvae"....The case, which is about a quarter to half an inch long, is flattened on top and bottom, expanded at its center and tapered at both ends. They are often found on walls (both outside and inside) of houses and other structures. Larvae are said to feed primarily on insect remains, fur, flannel, and hair: Check website below::
