i'm not sure of exact details on the train set, but i know it was made in the 1940s, made of metal (not sure what kind) and is electric.
it's not in the best of condition from being in storage, but it would make a great project for a train enthusiast.
at the moment it's just an interest to see how much it would be worth.
any input is appreciated.
In my area there is a Lionel train store that advertises buying and selling vintage trains. There are lots of web sites that feature vintage trains. I would suggest searching for the name of you train (Lionel, American Flyer, etc.) and go to the sites to see if they have a picture that looks something like your train and check their buying or selling price.
If there is a hobby store in your area you could get information there.
Another place would be a train club or a swap meet in your area.
