How to attach a wall tile over an existing wall tile? I need to cover a few colored accent tiles on wall.?

I have lovely white-tiled (ceramic) bathroom walls. Former owner did "accent tiles" that are gold and blue -- there are only a dozen of them spaced out in bathroom. I cannot afford to redo whole room and would love to glue or somehow attach a different tile of the same size over the existing ugly tiles. Maybe a white tile with a raised seashell relief, etc. How to do?

Not the ideal way but it can be done and you ll have the "raw" edges of the tile that will be exposed. If your ok with that, you can do a couple of things . Paint the edges with a good enamel ..Clean the old tile extremely well and let dry. You can adhere the new over the others with a good 100% silicone clear caulk Tape in place with a masking tape or a painters tape for 24 hrs and of course don t use the shower. There are actually thin sets that will do the trick but to buy that amount and to use so little, they ll cost a lot.
Just a suggestion but if your walls are the standard 4 1/4" tiles , google Tiles by Fran they have a huge selection of tiles ( not raised decos but some you can use) These tiles they use ( Florida Tile ) are a 4 3/8" tile that will cover your old tile a bit better.. Just a thought.
