The head is facing to the left and there is an eagle on the back with its head facing the to the right rather than the left. Underneath the eagle there is a capitol letter "A"
It is either an 1856 French: Deux (2), Cinc (5), or Dix (10) Centimes, and the diameter will identify which one, and A is the mint mark for Paris. The retail values are as follows:
2 Centimes: $0.25US in F-12; $2US in VF-20; $6US in XF-40; $12US or more if like new.
5 Centimes: $1US in F-12; $4US in VF-20; $12US in XF-40; $25US or more if like new.
10 Centimes: $1.50US in F-12; $4US in VF-20; $15US in $30US or more if like new.
