Grand Victorian

My mom bought this rundown Victorian house for 50 grand...It was in a bad neighborhood...It was very ugly and haunted looking from out side w.white chipped paint and broken windows.
We began choosing new colors to paint it Lavender and gold or green.
Once we got inside the house it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be...Sure it needed some wok and haddent been updated since like the 70s but it turns out it had potential of being a nice house and was bought at such a bargain cuz it was huge! What does this mean?
Walked into and seen the kitchen first.
