My mother bought me a beautiful dining room set for Christmas in store recovery. Nobody thought to check boxes, and it appears that we are near the central column / box that contains the table tennis. The discount store has * no idea * what we are talking about. There is no name on the boxes other than the K / S Furniture, I sought but found nothing. It was made in the Dominican Republic. Please help!
I doubt you'll be able to find one of the original manufacturer because it was rescue. But do not despair, you have many options to solve the problem. First, check savings, goodwill stores or the salvation army to see if they have an inexpensive table with a pedestal which is the height of your table requires and is fairly consistent style of the table. You may be pleasantly surprised. If nothing suits your fancy, call around products discount furniture. They have catalogs of legs, nipples, and all other types of furniture pieces that can be replaced when the restoration or repair furniture. I found the legs of substituting for all kinds of furniture, but are unfinished. So you have to finish yourself or pay to have to do. Your other option is to find a pedestal and plaster faux finish to coordinate with the package. coffered plaster are very few expensive and you can float the table on the pedestal. You can find them in craft stores and wholesalers in plaster (as in The Florentine Art Studios in El Monte, they have a website). I opted to do it for an antique table that I could not find a suitable base. Finally, check carpenters or your local store wordworking community colleges. You can measure, but it is much cheaper to get to school on the project pay a woodworker.
