Bug Sprayer

BUT we have a bit of a sand flea issue here in FL and with all of our pets and ourselves I want to kill the little beast.
So I bought some "natural" stuff to kill the flea and break the cycle. We bought Precor and Natural Pyrethrin.
So here are my questions:
If I spray only the front area of our house and where the chickens etc...are will that be effective? We have five acres and if we try to do the entire five acres it would cost a thousand dollars! So we thought just the front and the area where the chickens are? Possibly the walking trail.
Second question will it be safe to use in a sprayer that we use on our vegetable garden or should we buy a new sprayer?

Those are good pesticide choices. The pyrethrins will break down quickly, the active ingredient in the precor is methoprene, which is thought to be harmless to mammals. It is used on flea remedies that go directly on pets and furniture. Humans pick up lots of it from those sources, and it hasn't caused any noticeable epidemic in the pets, pet owners, or even the furniture. I would use the garden sprayer and wash it thoroughly. The natural pyrethrins can be sprayed on certified organic crops, but make sure you stay upwind when you spray them.
The methoprene will stop all insects in that area from maturing, and that will have a profound effect on the yard's ecosystem, although I can't guess what.
