Garden Antiques For Sale

I recently received an antique gift and was just curious to find out how much it would be worth today?

It is a pin with a sterling silver hand crafted bow and hanging from the bow is a gold locket with the front covered in mother of pearl. It is really gorgeous and in good shape. When I received it there were two photos in it, that of a woman and that of a man in a WWII uniform so it is very old.
Just curious if it had any value, it was such a great gift and I will always treasure it.

Either a reputable jeweler (small local store rather than chain store) or an antique dealer who carries jewelry can give you a good appraisal. And if it has a decent monetary value, you might also consider having it insured under your homeowners/rental policy (or your parents', if you are living at their home).
