seems to me from anyones perspective, the acorn thing would be front page and would be a much bigger deal seeing as tens of millions of dollars are funneled through acorns 200 plus entities while the LA gov phone charges are small potatoes, relatively speaking. but one ,made the cover of the new york times and was on every news cast while the other was reported as a minor infraction and almost no one reported it for three to four weeks after the story broke. why?
The Landrieu story, of course. The ACORN thing really didn't have anything to do with the government or anyone outside of those ACORN workers. The apparent attempt to bug the phone lines of a US Senator is an attack on the US government, and should be taken very seriously.
Of course, the ACORN story got a heck of a lot more press than the Landrieu story, as you pointed out.
